EDGE PROFILE N.01
17.5 cm
This edge profile was created in 1890, during the heyday of Art Nouveau in France and in Belgium. Its relief shaped as an arabesque, almost outrageous, symbolizes the ‘noodle style’, as it was commonly named then. It was at that time that great parisian brasseries developed, some of which witness everyday life in Paris today: l’Odessa, le Vagenende, Chartier…
The elegant curves, almost feminine, of the Edge profile n.1 symbolize the luxury of mythical places such as ‘Le Café de Saint Tropez’, which opened in 1789, and the Café Megève.
This Edge Profile has also travelled: ‘Le Victor’ in Denmark, The Tures Brasserie in Stockholm, Sweden, or in the luxurious isle of St-Barth.
