Our Edge Profiles are protected by the French INPI and the WIPO

To commemorate our 90th anniversary in 2020, we have launched eight edge profiles so as to provide our customers with a new experience.

While the luster and warmth of a pewter countertop remain unchanged, the refined lines of these more modern and industrial-style edge profiles also attract new customers. The quest for comfort and beauty is at the core of this new collection. The absence of decorative heads and drawings on these edge profiles does not mean that we have completely banned all ornamentation; it is quite the opposite. We absolutely do not wish to be monolithic. However, in a sometimes contradictory manner, the current fashion tends to rely on timeless lines, on older buildings (namely early-20th century North-American ones) or on styles borrowed from classical furniture.

We also observe that the 'countertop' is evolving in its nature, its use, and its position within the layout and space. For several years now, it has increasingly become a place where meals are taken. Today, it is a space for sharing dishes. Cocktail bars are also evolving; everything is crafted right before your eyes, with bottles and ingredients for your mix displayed at the same level as your glass. Much broader avenues are needed.

This is how we came up with the new Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme cocktail bar with a custom-made countertop. The Countertop remains the center of gravity as it stands as the central elements of the magnificent brasserie 'Au Comptoir'. The two countertops that are adorned with the edge profile n.105 (9cm) are the pedestals of this new bistronome near the Canal Saint Martin. The same goes to 'Pépite' where the talented chef Etienne Méot treats his guests with an original, refined and simple cuisine, all at the same time… still on an edge profile n.105.
