edge profile n.21
9.5 cm
This edge profile number is the same as its date of creation; 1921. Its mold was bought in the early 1970s when one of our neighbors, and one of the last makers of parisian countertops, decided to close. It was then the heyday of the formica. ‘Comptoiristes’ (t/n: countertop makers) of the Bastille district believed Pewter would no longer be used. For us, it was an off-peak time. We bounced back and left the XIth district to settle in Puteaux in 1995.
This edge profile was hardly displayed by our founder for 50 years. However, its Roaring-Twenties style was the reason for its revival, a century after it was created. We used it as part of our refurbishment of vintage countertops and has been met with fair success within the customer base of private individuals or degustation houses, as was the case of a house in Champagne, for example.
Its tiny decorative heads bring detail and light to the set. They match particularly well with dark or simplistic paneling.
