Edge profile N°09

7 cm

Border N°09 is one of our oldest edge profiles and one of our hallmarks.

You can find it in establishments close to our former workshops at 74 Rue de Charonne (between 1930 and 1995), some of the oldest in Paris. « Le Square Trousseau » opened its doors in 1902. Located at the corner of two streets, it was frequented by furniture artisans. It has since been renovated several times but retains its typical atmosphere from the first half of the 20th century: the bar on one side, the dining room on the other. It's warm, friendly, and the counter is an invitation to travel back in time.

« Le Bistrot du Peintre » also dates back to 1902. It has been renovated many times and has changed names several times as well. Initially frequented by cabinetmakers until the neighborhood underwent a significant change with the opening of the Opéra Bastille, it took its current form in the mid-1990s. The counter still occupies a central place, where patrons lean against it as before, from morning till night. The waxed oak highlights the curves of the border and the undulating lines of the countertop.

Opened in 1954, " Au Sauvignon " is one of the oldest wine bars in Paris. When they reorganized the layout of their bistro in the mid-1980s, the Vergne family naturally chose a Nectoux counter Nectoux with our Edge profile N°09 and a traditional 15mm raised edge."At Au Sauvignon," it's the foundation, the sure bet: the essential Poilâne toast paired with wines carefully selected by Émilie from producers. Moreover, the warm welcome there is always assured. More than just a bistro, it's an institution.

Countertop N°115, N°109, and N°104 have been restored with this border.
