Edge profile N°18

8 cm

The " Sarah Bernhardt " in the heart of Paris, was luxuriously renovated in May 2019. This bistro is sparkling. Laurence Brussel's triumphant paintings illuminate the walls and celebrate the two countertops adorned with this edge profile N°18 facing each other. They remind us that the French actress from the early 20th century, revered as a 'monstre sacré' by Cocteau, was one of the first stars to embark on world tours."

There is something American, something " The Great Gatsby " something of the Lost Generation in this edge profile N°18. It reflects the Roaring Twenties, the extravagance and luxury of the 1920s on the East Coast of the United States.

It sparkles on the dark oak Countertop of " Bilboquet " in New York, the jet set restaurant in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The magnificent menu offers refined and delicate cuisine. The decor is timeless. The light reflected by the close-up reliefs of the edge profile, true diamonds, attracts the "beautiful people": it's one of Leonardo DiCaprio's favorite spots, and you can meet... Mick JaggerBeyoncéRobert De Niro is a regular spot, American top journalists have made it their headquarters.
Philippe Delgrange, the owner of this iconic place, is a genius. It is only natural to find this edge profile on an antique Countertop in his other restaurant, " Flemings " which adjoins the famous Hermes store on the edge of Central Park.

"This is how we fight, like boats against the current, constantly pushed back into the past" - Scott Fitzgerald.

The countertop N°100 has been restored with this edge profile.
