The interwar period was a prosperous one in Montparnasse; it is the most cosmopolitan and lively Parisian district. The edge profile n.23 dates back tothis time and it only makes sense that one can find them in renowned cafés on the boulevards next to the train station.
The ‘Bal Bullier’ takes us back to that time, when artists and foreign press reporters mingled with the intellectuals of the capital. There is plenty of good food, good fun and sometimes people dance until the end of the night. Plain decorative heads on the edge profile echo stuccos and patterned covings on the ceiling.

When the party takes us further away, to Saint Germain des Pres, the edge profile n.23 tags along. It ornaments our welcoming pewter countertop of the ‘Bistrot Landais’, and its geometrical patterned tiles are another callback to this period. More discreet than the contemporary n.07, despite being 1.5 cm larger, the edge profile n.23 blends into the futuristic setting so peculiar of Meridian Hotels in Asia, or at the ‘bar of Château de Maffliers’, XVII and XVIIIth century hunting landmarks, now owned by the Accor Group and recently restored.

Countertop n.108 was refurbished with this edge profile.
