This edge profile’s mold was made in the 1920s: curves were set aside to focus on understated decorative heads and reliefs were delimited with straight lines.
It is to be found in typically 1920s places; this edge profile has infinite reflections. It allows us to go back in time and witness the trends and codes of brasseries. Slightly too voluminous to be considered 'Art Deco', this edge profile fits with all styles: from the roaring twenties to the 1950s.
One can also witness this at ‘’, in the heart of Manhattan, in the midst of buildings that witnessed the first period of unrestrained construction of minimalistic skyscrapers, as described by Ayn Rand in The Fountainhead. ‘L’Express’ is highly recommended by Zagat. It is one of the oldest French restaurants in New York, as it sits close to the Empire State Building.
At the feet of the ski trail, with a wonderful top balcony and a panoramic view of the Caron summit and the Peclet Needle, the ‘Le Rendez-Vous’ is the ideal place to meet friends and have a drink, whether that be a cup of champagne or a cocktail. What happiness it is to meet for an after ski night next to this remarkable countertop after a beautiful day in the heart of ‘The Three Valleys’.
