The edge profile n.09 is one of our oldest edge profiles and one of our trademarks.

It is quite logical to find it in establishments close to our former workshops, 74 rue de Charonne (from 1930 to 1995), and so are one of the oldest in Paris. ‘Le Square Trousseau’ opened in 1902. At the corner of two streets, furniture craftsman usually go there. It was refurbished several times but kept its typical looks of the first half of the XXth century: the bar is on one side, the room on the other. It is welcoming, friendly and the countertop is an invitation to travel in time.

Le Bistrot du Peintre’ also dates back to 1902. It was refurbished and renamed several times. Also used to welcome cabinet-makers until the district drastically changed with the opening of the Bastille Opera, it moved into its actual state in the 1990s. The countertop still sits at its center, and just like before, you can lean your elbows on it from morning to night. The polished oak highlights the curves of the edge profile and the wavy lines at the top of the countertop.

Opened in 1954, ‘Au Sauvignon’ is one of the oldest wine bars in Paris. When the layout of the bistrot changed in the mid-1980s, the Vergne family naturally chose a Nectoux countertop with the edge profile n.09 and a traditional 15 mm raise. ‘Au Sauvignon’ is an iconic, safe bet: you will find there the unmissable bread and Savoyard cheese with local wines hand-picked by Emilie. Moreover, her welcome is always as warm as can be. It is more than a bistro; it is an institution.

Countertops n.115, n.109 and n.104 were refurbished with this edge profile.
