This pewter countertop edge profile is an Irish twin of the n.3: the dimensions and time of creation are the same… But its trim is more pronounced which, paradoxically enough, makes it more modern.
It is to be found in East Paris, at the ‘L’inédit Café’: a vintage typical neighborhood bistrot where truck farmers from Montreuil would briefly stop when coming back from the marketplace Les Halles. The neighborhood and customers have changed since the time when the streets going from Bercy to the Gare de Lyon were a hub of cabinet makers and furniture craftsmen. The place is as enjoyable as it was with a modest setting, but authentic furniture dating back to that period is a demonstration of how Faubourg Saint Antoine cares about craftsmanship. The zinc looks remarkable on its luxurious base.
The n.13 edge profile fits with much more modern styles, as it does in ‘L’Ours Brun’, a cocktail bar and restaurant for gourmets. Ideally located on the snowy slopes in the heart of the Pyrenees in Piau-Engaly.
